The 4th of August 2007 is the day of the annual canal-parade. This is an exhibitionistic
event in which gay-people celebrate their gay-lifestyle by demonstrating. I never used to be a regular visitor of
this event. One is standing for hours in between three four or five layers of people. Marion
doesn't really like this. Too many drunk people. Too much monkey business. A treat for real die-hards.
In my humble opinion this parade is only nice for the folks on the boats: they are the ones having the real fun
Until someone suggested to take a boat with a group of T*-girls. Not to join the parade, but
just to float on a boat, and have us some good time. This idea completely changed my perspective on
visiting the canal parade. Suddenly I saw myself sitting on a deck with a glass of champagne, under
a magic blue sky
So thats what happened: Living on champagne for a day, under a pure blue sky. First rate view.
No stress whatsoever!
Mission-parameters:
- Location: Amsterdam, corner of Prinsengracht and Amstel.
- Date: Saturday-afternoon 4 August 2007.
- Occasion: canal-parade.
- Transportation: Watertaxi
- Fuel: Champagne (Moet & Chandon)
- Maximum transportcapacity: 12 persons
- Used transportcapacity:: 9 (T*-)girls, 2 sailors, 1 captain.
All in all! Worth a 2008 recommendation. Definitely. And last but not least: The picture
with the buttocks.... That IS a classic. Isn't it.
Yours truly,
Marion
